Dig in the Word

“Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees.” Psalm 119:124

Praise you, Lord Jesus, Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit, the great Triune Revealers and Teachers of Truth.

You have given us the written record of your revealed Word, supplying what we need to know so we can believe in you, trust in you, follow and obey you.

It is all there in the Bible, written plainly, yet hidden enough so that we have to dig down into it to see the great Truths you have laid out there.

You invite us to the feast of your Word, but we must come, sit down and partake before we can be nourished and strengthened by it.

Praise be to you for your Holy Spirit and the work He does in opening our eyes to deeper and greater Truths as

we spend time in your Word. His activity and involvement in our lives are a great proof of your rich and real love for us.

The Words of the Lord "are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward." Psalm 19:10,11

Let’s pursue that reward and be in the Word every day, learning to think and obey it.
