“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgement as the noon day sun.” Ps 37:3.
This promise came to pass today for us. The disruptive (understatement) renter we are in the process of evicting has decided not to go to court, offering instead to get out by the end of October! That means three things.
First we won’t have to go to before the judge who is known to side with tenants, not landlords.
Second we will get an official paper outlining the conditions that we all have to sign.
And third, I won’t have to pay for having a lawyer there all day.
Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and grace in our lives! Thank you for your direction to “trust in the Lord and do good, so shall you dwell in the land and you will be fed.” Ps 37:3. Thank you that you are my rock, my salvation and my high tower—and if I stay up in your tower, trusting you to protect me, I will never be shaken.” Ps. 62:2
I must say, I was tempted to come down out of the tower and handle this myself, doing something like putting a restraining order on the renter, but that is exactly what Satan wants: “ Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place,” Ps. 62:4. And when I am down out of the tower, trusting in myself instead of God, then I will fall into the wiles of the devil, he can run me right over!
Thank you for your prayers concerning this.
Please pray that we will get in right away to see the mediator and finish the work quickly. Thank you. Blessings, Steve
