You, Lord, are intent on greater things than what is on our small minds.

You are focused on things of the heart, of the spirit, of eternity.

You are working to change us through our problems today to prepare us for our future marriage to the Lamb.

You know how every detail works towards this and are not reticent to send or allow

the storm,

flood,

amine,

fight,

upheaval,

and war

For these will:

open eyes,

plow hearts,

draw our attention to eternal things,

reveal our  poor spirits,

and bring us to our knees before Truth.

Praise you, Lord God for you are wise, fully informed and aware of every detail of how it will work out.

You are determined to do what is good and will do so while being unbending in both mercy and judgment,

but always having mercy triumph!.

Help us, Lord, to remember all this and respond to each trial with the sacrifice of thanksgiving, joining you in your great plan.
