You, Lord God, are good and pure and  gracious.

I am impressed more and more with your great heart of creative goodness, of how you can take the wrong choices of people, as well as the negative consequences that flow from them, and turn them into good for the very rebels who shake their fists in your face!

You are so loving, so wise, so powerful, so persistent.

You continually pour out goodness on your evil creatures. You patiently wait for the right time to work in their lives; you wisely let them go off on their own ways so they can come to their senses and turn to you.

You are always there, patiently waiting, and patiently suffering with them as they grieve your heart over and over, rejecting the work of the Holy Spirit, choosing darkness rather than light.

You don’t up until belief or the final rebellion comes, and thens new life or deserved judgement.

May we consistently live in your love by obeying your commands today
