Thoughts from Hebrews 12:1-2 on for the New Year:

Looking back:   "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,”

Remember those faithful who have gone before and learn from them. Hebrews 11).

Look at the present:  "let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles."

Drop all that hinders us in our spiritual life.

Look ahead: "And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."

Follow Him, imitate Him, please Him.

A life so lived will give God great glory, meaning to us and light to the world.
