“You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.” Psalm 139:5

We can plan things as much as we want, but if you want God's direction he's going to give it to us and it may be very different from what we expected or wanted. And that is a God's sighting.

Today we had a doctor's appointment for Barbara. I wasn't sure if we should go because I was just getting over COVID. But, in the end, we decided to go, so we got in the old van and took off. But after about a mile on the Turnpike there was a warning signal; I looked down and the heat gauge was right to the top!

So, I pulled over and thought maybe I could wait till it cools off. But it didn't. I pulled a little further up the road and off on the shoulder and called the doctor's office to tell him he wouldn't make it. Then got out and looked under the hood. The overflow tank was full, so that was OK. Then I squeezed the hose going from the radiator to the thermostat and it was empty! Something was definitely wrong. I looked up on my phone how to find and change the thermostat, then I got off my hammer and tapped on it. No change

Then an idea came, I should check the radiator itself: it was totally empty! What am I going to do? I looked in the back of the van and found there were about 20 small water bottles I had gotten them for a meeting we were going to have and had forgotten they were there (God sighting). I emptied them one at the time into the radiator ann filled it right to the top!(God sighting) I started the van and the needle on the heat gauge went right where it was supposed to be, so I was able to drive home with no problem.(God sighting)

Then I called the doctor's office again and they gave us an appointment from Monday both for Barbara’s salt levels and for me to have my finger checked.(God sighting) I believe that Lord prevented us from going today both possibly to get me in to see the doctor quickly.

God works in mysterious ways, guiding us in His wisdom while also providing marvelously as He leads and protects us. Knowing this helps us off praise before we see the outcome.
